Learn about pediatric cleanings, preventive guidance, dental sealants, fluoride treatment, and daily oral care for children.

Dr. Golla provides preventive dentistry, cleanings, exams, and thoughtful guidance for every stage of growth so parents feel informed and children feel at ease, while receiving excellent care.

Regular pediatric dental cleanings and exams help protect your child’s smile. These visits allow our team to remove buildup, monitor oral development, identify concerns early, and provide personalized preventive guidance.

Dental sealants are thin, clear or tooth-colored resin coatings that add protection to the chewing surfaces of teeth. They form a barrier that helps keep food particles and bacteria out of deep grooves, reducing the risk of cavities and making brushing more effective. Sealants are commonly recommended after permanent teeth begin to appear, often between ages 6 and 12. They support—but do not replace—daily brushing, flossing, and regular checkups.

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that strengthens enamel and adds protection against tooth decay. Although children receive fluoride through foods, water, and many toothpastes, a professional treatment can provide additional support—especially for children who develop cavities frequently.

During an exam, our pediatric team can assess whether fluoride would benefit your child. Treatment is quick and may be applied to the teeth as a varnish, foam, or gel.
